After the great success of the inaugural Cully Fest School Excursion Program in 2017 we’re once again inviting Queensland schools to take part in the bigger and better Cully Fest 2018.
Cully means friend. Cully Fest brings together friends, new and old, bridging gaps between city and country, improves knowledge, understanding, celebrates heart and spirit of outback culture, tradition and history.
Cully Fest celebrates the spirit, traditions and culture of the Outback, aligning hero experiences of history, heritage, authentic country life, outback adventure. Activities include; indigenous dance, arts, craft and story telling, cooking demonstrations (bush tucker), dinosaur bone and opal fossicking, country & folk music.
We have developed a C2C & ACARA compliant program that includes educational workshops, shows, and hands-on interaction to allow children of all ages to get up close and discover for themselves the heart and spirit of outback culture, tradition and history.
We have learnt from our first event the importance of separating primary and senior years. Cully Fest School Excursion Program 2018 offers one dedicated day to primary age and one dedicated day to seniors to ensure the highest engagement, interaction and outcomes for each student and teacher.
Thursday 11 October will be dedicated to P-6 and Friday 12 October will be dedicated to 7-12.
