Busking competition at Cully Fest! Buskers can busk their way to $14,000 cash and prizes!
Many a star has been discovered whilst busking. The worlds is bursting with talent and who knows, your performance in the busking competition at Cully Fest, could make you ‘the next big thing’.
We’ll be holding our busking competition at key locations around the festival and hope to attract buskers from around the country. Great prizes are on offer and a range of categories as well as a coveted People’s Choice award so you could win the busking competition at Cully Fest if you have the talent!
To enter into the Cully Fest 2017 Busking competition you must complete and submit the entry form below before 31 October 2017.
Before entering please read the Busking Competition Terms and the Competition Entry Terms & Conditions. Busking sites will be set up in key locations around Toowoomba and the festival venue allowing the public easy access.

To enter, all acts need to read our busking competition at Cully Fest terms and conditions, complete an online entry form and submit.
All performances will be filmed during competition days. The videos will be uploaded to our Cully Fest YouTube channel and social sites to entice the public to vote for their favourite act. 31 October 2017: Entries close at 5pm sharp.
3 November 2017: All entrants will be notified whether they are successful for the busking competition at Cully Fest or not.
7 November 2017: Successful busking applicants will be required to complete a contract and submit that contract by no later than 5pm 7 November 2017.
Public voting opens! This is the time to get your family and friends (and their family and friends) to support you in the busking competition at Cully Fest. The public will be able to vote for their favorite act.

TBA 2017: All acts chosen to perform must attend a compulsory gig briefing and performance workshop at the festival site. Performers who cannot attend the workshop will not be permitted in the busking competition at Cully Fest

TBA (2pm) 2017: People’s Choice and Top Ten Announced The ‘top ten’ and two People’s Choice Acts will be announced and invited to participate in the Cully Fest Buskers Best Concert on the Main Stage. Winning buskers will be allocated a time to perform two acts. From this, a top five will be chosen to move into the semi final on the afternoon and evening of TBA.

TBA 2017 – Top Five Busking Acts Perform in Semi Final
Tonight, the top five buskers will be chosen to then go into the Semi Final of the Buskers Best Concert.
TBA 2017 – The Grand Final Our top two buskers will perform two different pieces in the busking competition at Cully Fest in front of the judging panel and visitors on Grand Final day. The Judges’ decision will be final.
Competition winners will be decided upon using the following selection criteria:
• Sheer talent and proficiency in chosen genre. • Ability to perform the act they have chosen to a high standard. • Ability to engage and connect with the audience. • The performance must be visually and musically engaging. • Versatility and confidence. • The Cully Fest WOW Factor.
