Introducing The Cully Fest Cabaret Show

For those that do not know, a cabaret show is entertainment held in a nightclub or restaurant while the audience eats and drinks at tables.

The Cully Fest is very excited to give people a cabaret show with a twist. Not only are the guests going to be entertained by the very talented Pepper Jane but will also get to experience the best of the bush… bush tucker. While guests are captivated with Pepper Jane’s songs, they will also be enjoying a succulent three-course meal prepared by internationally renowned bush tucker chef, Kay Luck.

The Singer

After stunning crowds and winning the inaugural Cully Fest busking competition, Pepper Jane is back with the launch of ‘Released.

Released is an onstage performance of Pepper’s debut album. By sharing some of the stories behind the songs, you will be captivated as she lights up the stage with her soulful lyrics and humorous stories.

Released has so far been a solo act but Pepper is planning big things for the Cully Fest. Along with a full band, she aims to incorporate interpretive dance and stunning visual effects. This is not a show to be missed!

The Food

Australia has some of the most unique food in the world but it has only become globally recognised in the past few years.

Kay Luck’s expertise as a Bush Tucker Chef is greatly sought after – to lecture and demonstrate her special melange of ancient Australian foods and contemporary cuisine in her own unique Indigenous style.

Kay believes that sitting around a dinner table is a powerful tool for communication. We don’t do it enough! Sharing of food and yarning about the past and the future are positive steps to reconciliation and understanding. Having bush tucker food at events and gatherings gets people talking and asking questions. Not only will you be eating a delicious meal at the Cully Fest, but also learning what native foods Australia has to offer.
